During the last twenty years wonderful blessings have come into my life through the study and application of Christian Science, and for them I wish to express my gratitude to God. I am particularly grateful for a healing I experienced some time ago.

While I was preparing lunch one Saturday I called my husband to assist me in removing the lid from the pressure cooker. He did not notice that the pressure had not yet gone down, and the lid blew off with great force, hitting my husband on the nose. Boiling soup was thrown over our faces. Throughout the morning I had been thinking of the truth that we learn from our study of Christian Science, and when the accident occurred, I declared: "God is here! God is here!" And I endeavored to keep my thoughts filled with the allness of God.

Although the pain was severe at first, I was soon able to rest quietly and think of the truths of Christian Science. My husband drove the car to a telephone booth and asked a practitioner for help, which was at once given. Later the practitioner visited us, and treatment was continued.
