EASTER MORN

Florence Minerva Millman

Glad Easter morn!
Within thy promise sweet
New hope is born.
Death's subtle dream
Is vanquished by the might
Of Life supreme.
Thy glory shines
Upon our upward way,
And it defines
Man's immortality,
Removes the stone,
Reveals the risen Christ,
And Life alone.
