Because Christian Science has meant much to me for more than twenty-five years, I wish to give my testimony. Through my study of Science I have received many blessings. Bilious attacks, from which I had suffered since childhood, insomnia, and constipation— all disappeared through a change in my thinking.

These healings gave me great joy and happiness and encouraged me to make a deeper study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and her other writings. In addition I subscribed for the periodicals, including The Christian Science Monitor, which I appreciate and admire for its clean journalism and uplifting influence in the world. The inspired articles in the religious periodicals have helped me many times to solve problems.

Gratitude fills my heart when I count all the blessings Christian Science has brought to me through the help of dear practitioners or through my own understanding of the truth. A discoloring of the face disappeared through the understanding I gained of the Bible passage (Ps. 42: 11), "Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." Through the realization that there can be no death, no parting in Love, I was lifted above grief at the passing of my husband. The Bible says (Luke 20:38), "He is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him." The truth that God was with me, which I declared aloud, saved my life when I was run over by a heavy truck. The effects of that accident were overcome by the consecrated help of a practitioner. During World War II supply came in various forms through my knowing the ever-presence of divine Love.
