Christian Science came into my...
Christian Science came into my life many years ago, and I found freedom from a number of physical difficulties. For this I am most grateful.
Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes on page 167 of Science and Health, "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." This sentence has been like a beacon to me through the years, and when put into practice it has brought healing.
During the depression years a larger income was needed to maintain our home. In working out this problem I turned to God, and the thought came, "Why don't you go to work?" I had not worked for some years. The work I had done was highly specialized, and there appeared to be no opportunity to use my training and experience unless I lived several hundred miles away from my family. The thought of age and unfamiliarity with the trend in the type of work I could do presented further obstacles.
