If I were to waste time regretting,...

If I were to waste time regretting, I might look back over the past thirty-five years and wish that I had utilized my time in more earnest and constant study of Christian Science. But instead of regret, I wish to express deep gratitude that I learned of Christian Science thirty-five years ago. Also I feel gratitude for the progress that I have made in learning that God is a good God, a loving God, and that nothing is real but good.

Such an expression of gratitude necessarily includes heartfelt appreciation of the selfless love and patience of the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. Her threat wisdom and untiring efforts have given us the opportunity to learn through her writings the truth regarding God, and they have also given us an understanding of the Bible. I am grateful not only for my own blessings, but for the fact that the whole world today is better because of the revealed truth.
