A question that often comes to...

A question that often comes to me is this one in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 3): "Are we really grateful for the good already received?" I feel that I can answer, Yes, I truly am grateful for Christian Science, as well as for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for Mrs. Eddy, our Leader. For all of our Christian Science literature and for the privilege of serving on a literature distribution committee, I am also grateful. Unless one has served on such a committee, he does not realize the loving work that is going on and how important this work is. The friendships I have formed in this activity will always be cherished.

One day a lady said to me, "I want to thank you for your sweet smile." I realize how grateful I should be that I can smile, for I once had a stroke of facial paralysis and for some time could neither smile nor talk. Work was taken up in Christian Science, and I was healed. I have also been healed of burns, colds, and other discordant conditions.

I should like to tell of an experience that came during one of our vacations. Each morning I would get up and study the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly before we began driving. One rainy morning I awoke later than usual and told my husband I would read the lesson as we were driving. This I did, and after I had finished I felt as though everything was not as it should be. Then I read some articles in the periodicals.
