East Coast—Healing of indecision

A young woman in the Air Force was facing a decision whether to re-enlist or return to civilian work. She asked the Christian Science Minister at the base to assist her in making a right decision. He began treatment and recommended that the servicewoman study references in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. He and the student dwelt particularly on the thought that Mind governs and controls the action of the universe, which includes man's activities.

During this period the service-woman was called to take a physical examination prior to being discharged. The examining physician reported evidence of a hernia condition, saving the young woman would need an operation. However, before the proposed operation could take place, it was necessary for the head surgeon to confirm the first physician's report.
