THE COMMAND

May Marsland

The daylight faded from my view,
A mountain hid the sun:
"What more, dear Father, can I do,
Than is already done?"

And in the stillness came a voice:
"Go forward! thou shalt see,
Beyond the darkness, they rejoice
Who follow after me."
