Following the recent appearance in Curieux of an article dealing with religious sects in switzerland, we have received from [the Christian Science Committee on Publication for French-speaking Switzerland] the following statements, which we gladly publish:

Christian Science was discovered by Mary Baker Eddy, who founded her Church on the teachings of the Bible, on the revelation of the will of God, as it is set forth in Romans (12:2), "Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed bythe renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

We read in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (Pref., p. xi): "The physical healing of Christian Science results now, as in Jesus' time, from the operation of divine Principle, before which sin and disease lose their reality in human consciousness and disappear as naturally and as necessarily as darkness gives place to light and sin to reformation."
