Christian Science healed me of stomach trouble when I was very young. My mother became interested in this religion as a result of that healing. I am most grateful for the spiritual understanding I have gained through Christian Science, as it has been the basis of my good health and happiness for a number of years.

Two healings stand out in my experience. One day I struck my shin on the edge of a metal stair. I was able to go about my work after I had declared the truth that "underneath are the everlasting arms" (Deut. 33:27). Several days later, however, my leg began to swell. It was necessary for me to walk quite a distance daily, and I did so without favoring the condition in any way. But because dire results were being predicted by others, I telephoned to a practitioner for help in overcoming my fear, and the healing was completed in the next few days. This experience took place during a final examination week at the school I was attending, and I am grateful to say that I was able to be present for and to pass all tests.

On another occasion, when my daughter was first learning to walk, she struck her head against the door jamb. The evidence of injury was most alarming, as there was a lump on her forehead the size of an egg. I requested help from a practitioner, and by night there was not even a mark to show that there had been an accident. The healing was complete in every respect.
