"Glory be to God, and peace to the struggling hearts! Christ hath rolled away the stone from the door of human hope and faith, and through the revelation and demonstration of life in God, hath elevated them to possible at-one-ment with the spiritual idea of man and his divine Principle, Love." So writes Mary Baker Eddy on page 45 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

Christian Science has been my only physician for many years, and through its study and application I have been healed of numerous discordant conditions. During my childhood and until I was in my late teens I frequently suffered from ulcers on my eyes. At such times I was unable to look at the light without wearing dark glasses or a patch over the afflicted eye, if only one was affected. I had treatments from an eye specialist, but the condition was not healed until after I took up the study of Christian Science. Then with the help of a loving practitioner the ulcers disappeared.

This was my first outstanding healing in Christian Science, and although I did not fully understand how it had taken place, I was extremely grateful and knew that I had found the pearl of great price. Since then I have experienced many healings, including those of painful abscesses, toothaches, corns, colds, burns, and many other erroneous conditions. Of more importance, however, is the clearer understanding I have attained through Christian Science of God and of man's relationship to Him.
