"THE CARDINAL POINT IN CHRISTIAN SCIENCE"

A Five-Year-Old boy was questioned by his mother as to what he had learned at his first session in a Christian Science Sunday School. He replied, "God is All, and nothing is the matter." This of course was his interpretation of the absolute statement, the cardinal point in Christian Science, that God is All and that there is no matter. It is helpful for us to approach the great truths in Christian Science with the same childlike simplicity, unquestioning faith, and fearlessness.

The fact of God's allness had its inception in ancient Bible teaching. Isaiah records (45:22), "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else." God is ever-present, infinite Love, reflected by His creation, man, His perfect, indestructible manifestation, who is incapable of anything less than perfect being. God being Love, His qualities possess no element of fear; being Spirit, He creates nothing termed matter. God being the only creator, nothing exists outside the allness of His infinitude.

There is no God of vengeance, fear, and hate. Christian Science brings to mankind that understanding of God as Love which comforts, heals, blesses, and restores faith, courage, and confidence in good. This knowledge of God fosters gratitude while it destroys false beliefs about Him.
