Of Good Report

A member, deeply grateful for the many blessings she has received her membership in The Mother Church, writes:

"When I have sent my per capita tax and gift each year to The Mother Church, I never have said in words what The Mother Church means to me and how very small my gift seems in comparison to what I have received. When I joined a branch church in 1934 I told the practitioner I was not interested in joining a church three thousand miles away, for I had not yet learned what being the Founder of Christian Science meant to Mary Baker Eddy.

"After my appointment to serve in a small lending library in my branch church I began to read all Mrs. Eddy's writings, as well as Joseph Armstrong's 'The Mother Church,' and was awakened to a fuller understanding of our beloved Leader as Founder of Christian Science and to the fact that The Mother Church is the very heart of the Christian Science movement. This resulted in my application for membership in The Mother Church in 1936, and I am humbly grateful for having been accepted.
