Over a period of many years I suffered intensely from a menstrual difficulty, which kept returning in various phases. Each time it did so I endeavored to rise above the physical evidence and see its nothingness, but sometimes I failed to guard my thought closely enough and so lost my sense of dominion. At such times a practitioner was called, and shortly I would gain relief.

During these years I lived in three different cities, and as the difficulty persisted, several practitioners lovingly helped me at various times. In talking with a practitioner about all the work that had been done for me without my gaining permanent relief I was kindly told that the work was not lost and that I should hold in thought the Scripture (Isa. 55:11), "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

Endeavoring to realize that God's work is done, as the practitioner counseled me to do, I gained a sense of completeness that filled me with gratitude for Christian Science and its healing power. Soon afterward I was healed of the difficulty.
