It is with a deep sense of gratitude to God Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and for our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I give this testimony. It was while I was a teacher in an orthodox Sunday School that I realized how little I knew about God and the teachings of the Bible. I felt such restlessness over this that I stopped all my church activities. After a few years of prayerful searching for a satisfying religion, I was introduced to Christian Science, and instantly I knew that my prayers had been answered. Soon a great sense of peace and joy filled my consciousness. Much goodness and progress have unfolded during the years since then.

The first time I read a Sentinel I was instantaneously healed of the need of wearing glasses for severe eyestrain. At the same time I ceased to depend upon medicine for healing. Seeing how quickly Truth operated, I was led to ask a practitioner to explain more of Christian Science to me and also to give me treatment for a disturbing skin disease of two years' standing. The healing came quickly and was received with much gratitude; but my greatest joy came through the realization that it had come through spiritualization of thought. My mental attitude had had to be corrected by Truth before there could be a change in the physical condition.

I am married to a consecrated Christian Scientist. Through earnest but joyous study of the Bible and of Science and Health and other writings by Mrs. Eddy, together with the periodicals, we have experienced better health, successful business activities, and a happy, harmonious home. Through the understanding and application of the truth we have been blessed and protected in many ways.
