It is with a deep sense of gratitude to God and of reverence for our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I give this testimony to the healing and sustaining efficacy of Christian Science.

I am most grateful for the guidance afforded by a deeper understanding of God and a childlike trust in Him. When I was a very young student of Christian Science, my husband and I were led to make a business venture the financing of which entailed mortgaging all our visible assets. This was at the time of the depression in the early thirties, and everyone except a few relatives and one Christian Science friend felt that our venture was a foolish one and would surely fail.

However, we turned to God alone for guidance and refused to entertain a single doubt or discouraging thought. The venture prospered, and a few years later we were led to take a more advanced step. Feeling confident that it was God who was leading us, we took over a business which had been a total failure. Even the equipment appeared dilapidated.
