First Church of Christ, Scientist, Dorking, was filled to capacity at both services on Sunday for the dedication of the church ....

During the year 1930, a small group of Christian Scientists living in or near Dorking held services in a private house. In 1932, a Sunday School was formed, and the group, having increased in numbers, began to hold their services and testimony meetings in various halls in the town.
