"Only through radical reliance on...

"Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." This statement of Mrs. Eddy's on page 167 of Science and Health has helped me in overcoming many errors of mortal mind.

One night I fell down a flight of stairs. Although at first I felt dazed, I declared, "Of course I am not hurt!" I clung steadfastly to the thought that there are no accidents in divine Mind and realized that since God, good, is the only cause, the only effect must be good also. For about three days I was able to go about my work quite freely. Then I unwisely talked about the accident and admitted that I had been a bit shaken by it. That admission was not "radical reliance on Truth," and as a consequence I began to manifest discomfort.

Knowing that I needed to realize more than ever the impossibility of accidents occurring in Mind, I declared, "Maybe error did take a tumble but certainly not God's reflection!" With the help of a practitioner I soon realized freedom.
