Dedication services for First Church of Christ, Scientist, Monroe, 1411 Tenth Street, which has been recognized as a branch church since 1949, will be held at 10.45 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday. . . .

Meetings were first held [about 1901] in a rented room, later in the Knights of Pythias Hall, and still later in the basement of the Universalist Church.
