IDENTITY AS REFLECTION

Spiritual existence is the only real existence. This is a statement of fact that can be proved and is being proved daily through the prayers of those who understand the nature of Spirit as revealed in Christian Science.

The truth that real existence is spiritual has long been believed, but a way is now open to all by which it can be proved or made practical by works of spiritual healing. This way is the Christly way, for did not Christ Jesus, our Master, say (John 14:6), "I am the way, the truth, and the life"? The Christ is the way to heaven, or harmony. It is the manifestation of all that is heavenly, expressed in law, beauty, purity, and peace.

Thoughts such as these do not exist apart from God. Mortals do not create them. We find our true spiritual existence to be in the realm of ideas, and as Christian Science teaches, we exist wholly in this realm; therefore it logically follows that matter does not constitute any part of true existence.
