I wish to express my gratitude to God for showing me the way to the healing truth taught in Christian Science. "Man's extremity is God's opportunity." During three years of medical treatment for a severe nervous disorder, my condition grew steadily worse. Finally, in despair I prayed that God would show me where to find relief.

One day while driving the car I became frightened and confused. I managed to drive to the curb and park. All I could see upon looking out of the car wondow was a Christian Science Reading Room; then I knew that God had answered my prayer. When I went inside, the librarian was loving and kind. She talked to me of God's love for His children, and in a short time I was calm and full of hope. I was instantly healed of grief over the loss of a loved one.

After returning home that day I made an appointment with a practitioner and started to read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Soon I realized that in continuing to use medicine I was trying to serve two gods. I immediately canceled a future appointment with the doctor and threw away the medicines I had been taking. Within one week great improvement was evidenced, and from that time on my family and friends were amazed at the change in my mental and physical condition. The healing was slow, as I had many lessons to learn, but it was complete.
