Trust in the Lord with all thine...

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding" (Prov. 3:5). This thought has helped me in so many ways that I feel that I must share with others my heartfelt gratitude to God for the blessings that have come to me and my family through Christian Science.

It was my privilege to have been raised in a home where Christian Science was our only physician. Soon after my parents were led to the study of this Science, my father, sister, and I were stricken with smallpox. We were allowed only a few hours by the health authorities in which to meet the condition, and in less than the stipulated time we were completely free. This proved to me that no matter how severe the difficulty may seem to be, it can never touch God's perfect man.

Through work done in Christian Science by a practitioner my first child was born easily and normally within fifteen minutes after the attending physician had told my family that the birth would be quite prolonged and that he feared complications. This child has always been most receptive to Christian Science treatment.
