Together with countless others I voice my humble gratitude to God for my having been led to Christian Science.

When human ways and methods had been tried and found inadequate, dear members of my family brought Christian Science help to me, and I was healed of a nervous breakdown. Since then I have had many healings. Blood poisoning and the severe effects of menopause were healed; a stolen heirloom was returned. I was wonderfully protected at the time of an accident. I had been resting on a davenport near a window, and I was impelled to get up and walk to another part of the room. While I was standing there, I heard a terrific crash, and looking around, I found that a baseball bat, which a boy had been whirling at the end of a rope, had come through the window near the spot I had just left. The glass was splintered and driven into the woodwork far into the room, but I was not touched.

I am thankful beyond words for each demonstration of God's loving care, and above all for "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding" (Phil. 4:7). The textbook, Science and Health, and the other writings of our God-inspired Leader, Mrs. Eddy, have opened the Bible to me, and the teachings and examples of our beloved Way-shower, Christ Jesus, and the truths contained in the Old and New Testaments are constantly unfolding.
