Membership in The Mother Church—A Unique Provision

In the Manual of The Mother Church (Art. XXIII, Sect. 3) our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes, "In its relation to other Christian Science churches, in its By-Laws and self-government, The Mother Church stands alone; it occupies a position that no other church can fill." For this reason, membership in The Mother Church fills an all-important place in the lives of Christian Scientists.

One earnestly considering membership should carefully ponder the requirements set forth in the Church Manual and fill out the application and the accompanying questionnaire according to directions. The closing date for the receipt of applications for the next admission of members is May 1, 1951. The admission date is June 1, 1951.

Application blanks and any information concerning membership may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal, or from clerks of branch churches and societies. Applications may also be obtained from Gordon V. Comer, Clerk, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.
