I want to express my gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for Christian Science. I attended the Christian Science Sunday School when I was a child, and although I never forgot the love that was expressed toward me there. I drifted away from the teachings of this Science for a time.

A few years after I married I became suddenly ill, and the doctor who examined me said that it would be necessary to remove a kidney. I became very fearful and promptly turned to Christian Science for help. My fear lessened, and I told my husband that I had decided to take my stand for Truth and that I would not have the operation. We went directly to a Christian Science Reading Room, and I bought a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The next day I went to a practitioner's office, and help in Christian Science was given me. I knew that I had indeed found God. The practitioner uncovered many errors, one of which was a sense of hatred for a relative. This was quickly met, and I came to see that she, as well as I, was actually God's idea, and that God's ideas love each other.

I am very grateful for this uncovering and awakening, for it brought about a quick healing of the kidney disorder, and of course the operation was not performed. This occurred about four years ago.
