Signs of the Times

Rev. R. P. Price, M. A., in a column in the Christchurch Times Hampshire, England

Someone has suggested that it would be a good thing if at the end of every day we were to ask ourselves, "Have I today done anything to make life happier and better for any other person?" It would be better still if at the beginning of each day we found time for a prayer to God that He would use us to bring help and comfort to someone who needed it. Such a prayer would help us to realize our common humanity and to remember that we are in the world to help each other to know that fullness and happiness of life which is God's will for us....

When our thoughts are concentrated on ourselves, the springs of life dry up within us. There is no true life apart from God, the source of life, and "God is love."
