Christian Science changed my outlook on life from one of self-pity and self-centeredness to the earnest desire to express the truth so convincingly in word and deed that others would be led to seek and find the glorious liberty of the children of God.

I was quite new in this Science when my son, then six years old, became seriously ill with pneumonia. I decided that I would use what little understanding I had of Christian Science, and all during the night I clung to statements that I had read in the: Bible and in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The boy was able to sit up the following day, and within a week from the day he was taken ill he was playing out of doors in midwinter weather.

My own healing of pneumonia a year later was not so rapid, but I am thankful for my growth in Christian Science during those weeks of recovery, for I learned to be more patient and grateful, I found that in my effort to speed my recovery I was making a reality of the difficulty; but when I became willing to do the right and needful thing, and leave all to God, my healing came.
