For so many years I have derived untold help and comfort from the articles and testimonies published in our Christian Science periodicals that I feel I can no longer delay expressing my heartfelt gratitude for all that this Science; has done for me or sharing some experiences in the hope that they will meet someone's need.

Words are quite inadequate to express my thanks for having had no other teaching than Christian Science. In our family it has been our only physician and guide and has met our every need. At one time I was healed of a nervous breakdown. The cause seemed to be an accumulation of false beliefs, which resulted in intense fear of people and things. With the help of a faithful practitioner each step of the way unfolded for me, and the difficulties were overcome. Our beloved hymns were a great source of comfort; but it was not until I realized the significance of Mrs. Eddy's words in Science and Health (p. 393), "Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good," and saw clearly that I had to lift my thought above the so-called material manifestation and study for myself, that the final healing came. I have enjoyed continued good health and have been able to hold a responsible position.

This testimony would not be complete if I did not give thanks for a further physical healing of periodic pains. With the help of a practitioner I learned to claim my heritage as God's child and be free. Mrs. Eddy's statement on page 99 of Science and Health proved to be a wonderful help to me: "The calm, strong currents of true spirituality, the manifestations of which are health, purity, and self-immolation, must deepen human experience, until the beliefs of material existence are seen to be a bald imposition, and sin, disease, and death give everlasting place to the scientific demonstration of divine Spirit and to God's spiritual, perfect man."
