Eleven years ago, when I first heard of Christian Science, I was a physical and moral wreck, full of fear and worry.

For years I had not known what it was to be without pain and could walk only a short distance at a time, so intense was the pain of arthritis and neuritis in my limbs. Like the woman in the Bible, I had gone to many physicians, but "was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse." When I realized materia medica could not cure me, I gave up all hope of being well again. I did not seem to care what happened to me and was tempted to take my life.

It was at this stage I heard of Christian Science. I immediately went to a practitioner, and never will I forget the kindness and understanding with which I was received. A great calm and peace came over me, and the very room I was in seemed to be filled with Love. All fear and worry left me, and I was instantaneously healed of chronic indigestion.
