LETTERS TO THE PRESS

from Christian Science Committees on Publication

Winchester, England Hampshire Chronicle

Under the caption "From My Notebook" Christian Science is referred to as a "queer cult," and it is implied that it is not a genuine religion, but a superstitious belief.

What is the test of a Christian religion? Surely it must measure up to Jesus' demand, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also" (John 14:12). An unbiased investigation of Christian Science reveals that it is repeating, in great measure, Jesus' works in healing sin, sickness, and all manner of human ills. Tens of thousands of written, well-authenticated testimonies of spiritual healing through Christian Science could easily be adduced in support of this claim.
