I should like to testify to a healing I experienced in 1925. For a year I suffered from the same complaint as the woman in the Bible who had an issue of blood (Matt. 9:20). I was under medical treatment, and despite several minor operations, my condition did not improve. The doctor advised a major operation, but I could not decide to have it performed.

As the Psalmist said (77:2), "In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord;" and I found Him. An acquaintance called my attention to Christian Science and recommended that I go to the Christian Science Reading Room, which I did at once. There I was shown the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I read several passages in the chapter "Footsteps of Truth."

Eagerly I took up the study of Christian Science, and the first ray of the light of Truth penetrated my consciousness. My thought was filled with hope and joy. From a practitioner I received explanations of Science and guidance on the way. I declared to myself over and over again that in God man is perfect, that as the child of God I could manifest neither sickness nor suffering. Thus, after a time, through the realization of this great truth, I began to improve. The issue of blood ceased, and I was healed.
