To those striving for relief from the so-called fetters of human bondage, I wish to give a testimony of the power of Truth which Christian Science enables us to prove.

Eighteen years ago I was instantaneously healed of goiter. This healing was the result of my reading a lecture by a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship. This instantaneous healing gave me much hope and encouragement, and I straightway purchased "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

I was brought up in a Christian home where there was a great deal of church activity, but my life was composed of many ills of the flesh, and I was in almost constant physical pain. I had exhausted medical science and surgery after spending many years in an effort to obtain physical healing. I became more confused and dissatisfied with my understanding of God and my relationship to Him, and my profound desire to live and be free from sickness led me to seek spiritual understanding. My first contact with Christian Science was the free literature plated in the distribution boxes, and for this provision I am most grateful.
