God's Word is quick. It is powerful.The Bible tells us that.Still we delay; we settleOur heaviness on the matAnd wait for the door to open,For one on the other sideTo turn the key for us.Is it indolence? Or pride?Or have we lost that eagerReadiness to believe?Have we become casehardenedAnd slow to receive?What will destroy self-centeredInertia that congeals?The quick Word, the powerful,Which awakes and heals.
