"MAKE THEE AN ARK"

The greatest enlightenment to the human race has come since the birth of Jesus, nearly two thousand years ago, during the period which we have come to know as the Christian era. Nevertheless, God's eternal goodness is also vividly imaged forth in the lives of the patriarchs as chronicled in the Old Testament.

One such record made a marked impression the writer in her early childhood, and its deep significance has increased with the years. It is the familiar story of Noah and his righteousness, the building of the, ark, the great flood, and the preservation of all within the ark. Her introduction to the story came on a Christmas morning when among her many gifts was a miniature ark, complete with animals of every sort. In response to her many questions, she was told the story that has never grown old.

Through the study of Christian Science, this story took on a higher meaning, pointing as it does to the mental processes which enable anyone, in any age, to build an ark of true thinking, securely seal it against the seepage of error, and include in one's consciousness a demonstrable sense of creation as forever complete. Such building is a purely individual experience.
