Over twenty-nine years ago I was confronted with the verdict that a major operation was necessary. My husband had a Christian Science friend with whom we decided to talk to see if this Science offered us any other way out. I was a stanch believer in an orthodox faith, so I was prepared not to believe what our friend had to say. I questioned him on points of faith, not on the healing power of Christian Science, and after each question I asserted my contrary belief. However, when he left, I asked him to leave his book.

I read this book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, every available moment until I had read it through. On completion of the book I found myself healed, and no operation was needed. I immediately entered our son in a Christian Science Sunday School, and my husband and I asked for our letters from our orthodox church.

I had been told that I could not possibly have more children and expect to live. However, I knew that if Christian Science were true I could have a family and live too, and I proved that fact by having two daughters born under Christian Science care.
