Letters to the Press from Christian Science Committees on Publication

John J. Selover,

In her recent column, "Philosophy for Today," someone wonders why Christian Scientists deny that physical methods can help the mental in the healing of disease. She asks why there can't be a broad therapy which recognizes the possibilities of the various mental and physical methods of treatment. I shall appreciate your kindness in publishing this reply.

More than ever before, healers of various schools are recognizing the mental nature of disease, and are questioning material methods of treatment. This is a hopeful trend—a trend in the direction of the perfect method of healing carried on by Christ Jesus and given to the world as a rich legacy.
