I should like to express gratitude...
I should like to express gratitude for my healing in Christian Science. This Science has indeed brought me into "a land that floweth with milk and honey." With my very first visit to ask help from a Christian Science practitioner, I knew that I had found the truth that heals and sets men free. It was as a great light shining in my life, and indeed it is a blessed light which "shineth more and more unto the perfect day."
I have had many healings through the application of Christian Science. The spiritual understanding one gains through its study, application, and demonstration makes one healthy, happy, successful, and grateful to God, to Christ Jesus, and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
The Bible has taken on a new meaning since I have studied it in conjunction with the Christian Science textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I should like to tell of a healing of very soft teeth. After the dentist examined these teeth he advised that they all be drilled out, in the region where the gums meet the teeth, and be refilled. I told him that I should have to think this over before giving my consent. After leaving the dentist's office I asked myself if Christian Science could not heal diseased teeth as well as any other disease. And the answer came, Yes, it can, for in reality there never was diseased substance; it was only my thinking that had to be corrected. So I set about to correct my thinking by more careful study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and made a real effort to take time to read the Christian Science periodicals carefully and attend regularly the Christian Science church services, including the Wednesday evening testimony meetings. Needless to say, the healing took place in a very short time.
