Would You Go Higher?
Many powerful statements of Truth may be found in the hymns used in the services of the Churches of Christ, Scientist, everywhere. In the Preface to the Hymnal (p. v) it is said that "the love and truth expressed through the hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal have helped and comforted many, and will continue to do so in increased measure." The progressive experience of the individual Christian Scientist is succinctly stated in the opening lines of Hymn No. 64:
From sense to Soul my pathway lies before me,
From mist and shadow into Truth's clear day.
