The Power of Invincible Spirit

The Psalmist tells us that "power belongeth unto God." Obviously, then, power does not belong to evil, the supposed opposite of God.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy says (p. 473), "God is everywhere, and nothing apart from Him is present or has power." This power, then, is everywhere because God is everywhere. Power is absolute because God is absolute, and this absolute power, emanating from infinite good, must be unvaryingly good.

This power is eternally in action to enforce God's law. It is the power Jesus understood and used in his ministry. It is the power our Leader so well knew and employed in establishing the great Cause of Christian Science. It is the power which inspires our trust. It is almighty for us to lay hold upon, lean upon, and claim for stability in our upward way.
