In Thy House Today
Let
there be silence in Thy house today,
Stilled here the seven thunders of earth's strife
And even the softest whisperings of sense
That would disrupt the harmony of life.
Let there be music in Thy house today;
Still waits the sorrowing earth to hear again
The strains the listening shepherds caught of old.
When angels sang of "Peace, good will toward men."
Let there be healing in Thy house today;
Let those redeemed from pride, from self and sin,
Lift high the torch of Truth to all the world
Till Christ's triumphant day is welcomed in.
Let there be glory in Thy house today,
The wonder of revealings yet to be,
The deathless proofs of Science understood,
The glowing grandeur of reality.
