Christian Science has been my greatest blessing for many years. When our children were growing up all our problems were solved through the application of this Science.

When about seven years old, one of our daughters was healed of what the physician called diphtheria. My husband was away from home and I had been having work done for her in Christian Science for a cold. My husband returned home unexpectedly and, hearing from some friends who called that evening that there was an epidemic of diphtheria in town, he became very fearful.

The child grew worse and my husband, who is not a Christian Scientist, called a physician. When the physician made an examination he pronounced it diphtheria and said he would give the antitoxin, although he feared it was too late. After he left I ran to the home of the practitioner, as we had no telephone at the time, and told her of the situation. She began to work, and the child was up and playing the next morning. When the physician came that morning he examined her and declared that she must have had membraneous croup.
