The Love of Christ

The outpouring of love at each Christmas season for Christ Jesus speaks for the beauty, grace, and potency of his great career. Grateful hearts in all ages have treasured the nativity of Jesus and have bowed in joyful wonderment at this gift of our loving Father-Mother God.

To Mary, "blessed . . . among women," the revelation of the Christ brought forth this exalted prayer: "My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. . . . Behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed." History has fulfilled this prophecy.

The exalted consciousness of the fatherhood of God in which Mary conceived Jesus aided him in his Father's work. For her it was a blessing of the highest order and enabled her, in some measure, to understand his mission. She pondered the tender lessons in her heart, faithfully following his earthly pilgrimage, and, through her deep affection, she saw him rise in spiritual resurrection. We need this same selfless compassion in our hearts in order to find our Way-shower, Christ Jesus.
