God's Presence

Returning home recently, the writer was delighted to hear peals of enchanted laughter from his tiny daughter, who was jumping up and down with happiness because he was home. Even after he reached her and picked her up in his arms, the manifestations of joy continued as she threw herself backward and, with face to the sky, just let herself go in joyous abandon, conscious that she was safe in her daddy's arms.

Later in the evening, the writer thought how similar should be our attitude toward our heavenly Father. Contemplating the allness of His ever-presence and our indissoluble oneness with Him he recalled the words of the Psalmist. "In thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore," and further, "Blessed are all they that put their trust in him."

In Christian Science we learn that "the depth, breadth, height, might, majesty, and glory of infinite Love fill all space." And Mary Baker Eddy assures us. "That is enough!" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 520.) Indeed it is enough, if we take God at His word and daily demonstrate the bliss of our indissoluble union with Him. Bliss is the only word for it. In the measure that we claim this glorious fact do we become conscious of our heritage of infinite good.
