Mrs. Eddy's words from the...
Mrs. Eddy's words from the chapter on Prayer in Science and Health (p. 3), "Are we really grateful for the good already received?" have many times caused me to pause and consider with wonder the good which has unfolded to me since I first began to study Christian Science, and to be profoundly grateful; for I have certainly experienced much regeneration and healing.
At the time that Christian Science was first presented to me, I attended a Sunday service with a friend at school. My entire outlook was so material that the readings from the desk did not make any sense at all to me. I continued to attend the services for some time without seeming to take in anything of the truth, but the harmonious atmosphere and radiant faces made a lasting impression on me.
Although at this time I saw two very convincing Christian Science healings take place, and experienced a remarkable healing of a foot disorder myself, I still seemed unable to grasp or understand the Science which had healed me.
