In reply to "X's" statement that the word "matter" does not occur in any of the passages from the Bible quoted in my last letter, and therefore that they did not support the Christian Science view of the unreality or temporal nature of matter, an examination of Cruden's concordance will show that the word "matter." as meaning "material substance," does not occur once throughout the Bible.

That does not mean, however, that the subject is not often referred to. Christ Jesus said, for instance, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
