The Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society today announced the election, with the concurrence of The Christian Science Board of Directors, of George Channing, C.S.B., of San Francisco, California, as a Trustee to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Judge Herbert L. Standeven. The election was held in accordance with Articles XXV, Section 3, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy.

Mr. Channing was educated in the public schools of Providence, Rhode Island, his native state, and at Brown University, from which he graduated with a degree of A.B. Subsequently he studied law for a year at Boston University and for another year at Yale. For ten years he was engaged in newspaper work, acting at one time as City Editor of the Seattle (Washington) Star.
