Ever since I could remember...

Ever since I could remember, my mother had taken me to doctors and clinics because of delicate health, and when I was sixteen years old, our family physician told my mother that I had a tendency toward tuberculosis, and recommended that I be sent to a dry climate. I was then living in New York, and was sent to live with a sister who resided in Astoria, Oregon. Here Christian Science was first presented to me, and I accepted it with all my heart, because it seemed so right. In spite of the climate being extremely wet, I was healed with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. This Science has been my only physician ever since.

When different phases of illness presented themselves, I was often tempted to have the disease diagnosed by a physician, but I did not yield. Continued study has enabled me to see that since disease is not real, no matter what picture it takes on, it is a lie, and can be proved as such.

I have been healed of a severe attack of influenza, of sinus trouble, and hemorrhoids. Christian Science has been an invaluable aid to me when seeking employment. Divine Love has indeed met my every need.

I am grateful for the privilege of having served in the Christian Science Benevolent Association Sanatorium on the Pacific Coast for a year and a half. This period afforded me much spiritual growth. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church here in Portland, and for class instruction.

This testimony would not be complete without paying a loving tribute to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who, because of her pure and spiritual thinking, was the one chosen by God to be His messenger in this age, teaching and healing as did Christ Jesus.—(Miss) Hannah Krane, Portland, Oregon.
