A very happy Gloria skipped gaily along her way to school. A very quiet Gloria, not skipping at all, came home from school. Mother knew that Gloria was unhappy. She waited patiently for her to speak about it. Gloria knew that a talk with mother was always helpful.

"Mother," Gloria began, "Ruby said she didn't like our new teacher. Then something happened to me that I can't understand. I began to think I didn't like our new teacher, either. Now I'm so mixed up I don't know what to think. Won't you please help me, mother?"

Mother did not answer right away. She wanted to give the question the kind of prayerful thinking that would aid Gloria the most.
