, the Father of us all,
In these dark days of fear we give to Thee
Our thanks that Thou art ever-present Love!
If we ascend to heaven, Thou art there,
Or make our bed in hell, still, Thou art there.
No pain, no hurt, but can be healed by Love,
No sorrow, but by heavenly truth assuaged;
There is no place but can be home with Thee.
Give us the courage so to purify
Ourselves that we receive Thy glorious gift—
The Holy Ghost, the Comforter, bequeathed
Us through Christ Jesus, Thy beloved Son!
