My first healing through Christian Science...

My first healing through Christian Science came some years ago. I was healed of pneumonia when, according to the best of medical opinion, there was nothing that could be done to save me. I shall never cease to be grateful for the consecrated help of the practitioner during the whole period, and for my devoted wife, who also refused to accept the false sense testimony.

The second healing I witnessed was experienced by a guest in my home, who was completely healed of cancer of the face in eleven days. In this instance no specific treatment was asked for or given. The healing came from the daily reading of the Lesson-Sermon by members of my family. Mrs. Eddy tells how this is possible on page 210 of "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany," where she states: "Good thoughts are an impervious armor; clad therewith you are completely shielded from the attacks of error of every sort. And not only yourselves are safe, butall whom your thoughts rest upon are thereby benefited."

I recently had further proof of the efficacy of Christian Science. A child in my home caught his hand in the clothes wringer of the electric washer, and all his fingers and part of the palm were drawn in before I could release the tension and free the hand. I immediately declared against any accident and the consequences of accident. Absolutely no swelling or discoloration resulted from this experience, even though the tension on the roller spring was almost maximum.
